The Conversational English course is designed to help learners develop their communicative ability in English, and is available in two levels (Level 1 & 2), with each level being taught over 12 weeks.
The course provides learners with opportunities to practice all four skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing – as well as vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. The topics have been carefully chosen to provide learners with thematically-linked situations through which to practice frequently everyday English. In each unit of the course text, learners are given opportunities to read, hear and use the target language in simulated settings.
A key strategy in the course delivery is personalized learning, where learners are given the opportunity to bring their own experiences, attitudes, and feelings into the learning process. Learners are invited to relate the content of the lesson to their own life, interests and feelings. Learning is thus made more meaningful and authentic, and learners are able to make systematic connections between their own experiences and the lessons in the classroom.
Throughout the course, learners will encounter a rich and vast array of data to facilitate their learning experience. Essentially, the Conversational English course provides supportive environments for learners to develop enabling skills such as oral fluency, grammatical accuracy as well as knowledge of vocabulary, language forms and functions that will allow them to communicate effectively outside the classroom.
The Business English Communication program is designed for adult learners who wish to improve their English language communication skills and who are either about to start work or are already working. It comprises of two levels (Level 1 & 2) and begins with diagnostic assessment of learners’ existing knowledge, command as well as business language usage.
The program is designed to help participants develop and refine their language knowledge and skills for various situations requiring effective written and spoken communication. It emphasizes the understanding of communication as a process, and involves participants in a variety of individual and collaborative efforts.
The structure of the program is developed on the premise that confidence and expertise in written and spoken communication experiences. Through practicing basic planning techniques, participants will learn to construct and deliver a wide range of written and spoken communication in a clear, concise and logical manner. In addition, participants will extend their ability to read for specific purposes.
This program is also designed to provide a variety of appropriate scenarios representing experiences from various communities, cultures and/or professional groups. These and other individual and co-operative activities included in the program will help participants develop proficiency in the use of communication techniques for practical and realistic purposes.
The course aims to provide students with competence in understanding and using basic Malay, that is, to enable students to use Malay language with regard to the four language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking – at the basic level. The emphasis is on its practical use within a limited range of situations at the level of everyday communication. It aims to enable students to express themselves on things close to themselves using simple expressions. The content progresses from the easier aspects of the language to the more difficult ones. The content covers aspects of linguistics such as phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. The content takes into consideration lexico-grammar which will enable students to learn through identifying patterns and characteristics. The content of this course is also designed to introduce some aspects of Malay social, cultural and religious practices through the use of texts and exercises in the course materials.
The course covers background information on Malay language such as a brief description of the Malay language, its historical development and present status-quo as well as the special features of the language, and developing competence in the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing by understanding the workings of the language.

This course is designed for beginners. It covers the intermediate level of proficiency in French, in the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Level 3: The course introduces students to the everyday situations such as having a small talk, taking a cab etc. Enables students to use French expression writing, speaking and listening in French language. Develop the ability, strategies and skills to take students French on the road. It covers all aspects of French speaking parts, and also how to handle emergencies.
